Max: Transfer of Hosting account

Max: 1> First you need to sign up for the hosting account using our online form. For this select the option ‘I already own my domain name’. In this case your domain will stay with your registrar and you can host it with us. Also, please note that we initiate the transfer of domain only if you place a request with us for the same.
Max: 2> Then you will have to take a backup of your current hosting account. Please make sure you have a complete backup of your files, databases and emails on your local terminal.
Max: 3> As soon as your account is setup, you will receive a welcome email from us. This email will contain your control panel login details and your FTP details.
Max: 4> You will then have to upload the backup which you have taken to the existing account which you have hosted with us.
Max: 5> You can temporarily check your website using the temporary URL http://hostname.com/~username ( details provided to you in your welcome email) Max: 6> Once your website is ready to go live you will have to point the nameservers of your domain to justhost. For this you will have to contact your domain registrar (the company you bought your domain name or hosting and domain from) and ask them to point the nameservers to the following nameservers of justhost:

Max: 7> In general, it will take about 24-48 hours for the DNS record to change and propagate through all the WHOIS servers. You can use Whois tools on the Internet to monitor the status of the DNS transfer. Once the transfer is completed, you will notice the change in the new DNS.
